Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) members and Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (CFVGA) members will get $100 off their registration to the upcoming Produce Safety Rule Training that’s part of the CFGVA annual meeting.
Monday Feb 20 from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, the day before the conference, CFVGA will be hosting a FSMA Produce Safety Rule training required for one person from each farm subject to compliance with the Produce Safety Rule. Registration closes February 16. Max seating is 40 people. Includes lunch and snacks.
The Produce Safety Rule is now in affect and most produce growers will have to be compliant with it to some degree. This specific training is a requirement for everyone who falls under the rule. The FSMA rules are similar to Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) but also different in their scope and purpose. While GAPs are for buyer requirements, FSMA is a mandatory food safety regulation for produce growers from the FDA. This won’t be the last training like this, but since RMFU and CFVGA members get $100 off, come to this! Here’s the link to register for the training: https://cfvga_2017_conf.
